We’re still processing the last few weeks/month

We’re still processing the last few weeks/month but yes, it’s true… Our dearly beloved Meraki has sold.

It’s a strange thing selling a boat, she’s apart of us, akin to a big toe. She’s been our safe haven through storms, our oasis in paradise. She’s in our blood (or our blood, sweat and tears are in her). A very special vessel indeed.

As a family we are grieving this season of life being over but trying to remain thankful for the incredible opportunity we were blessed to have. More than anything we will miss the cruising community and the friends we have made along the way.

We’re squeezing out some fun land travel before we settle back into a house. In true cruiser fashion we have a “shell of a plan” but plans are written in the sand at low tide… so stay tuned ;)

This was a big year, we started grade 5 & 7 in Fiji last September, shifted to Australia and new schools, then back to fiji to finish the year off. The boys killed it, we’re so proud of them.

In this week’s episode we take you back to our last week in French Polynesia. Reflecting back on this time we feel very proud of ourselves. We crossed 3,000nm of ocean from Mexico to the Marquesas, explored 3 archipelagos spanning 1,000nm. Next hop is another big jump from French Polynesia to Tonga approximately 1,300nm!!

A fully jam packed episode! We jet off to Mo’orea and are absolutely stunned by the beauty of the island. In fact we are so stunned that we lose a little focus and… well, you know what they say “There is 3 kinds of sailors: those who have run aground, those who haven’t YET and those who lie about it”

There were so many highlights of Mo’orea and at the top of the list is the friendly stingrays who were ready to jump up for a back scratch! Come get an up close look at life on the hook in Mo’orea

Phillip Island is one of our favourite spots 🥰 Mick brought me to the penguin parade when we first met. So fun to go again with the kiddos.

Every night thousands of penguins come home, out of the surf and up in to their little land burrows.
